Lazy Baked Ziti

Here's a crowd pleasing, family friendly, super delicious recipe! This Lazy Baked Ziti is so damn good and doesn’t taste healthy at all- which is perfect for right now because after a few weeks of eating healthy, you’re probably over it. It’s cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. BUT it’s still high protein, veggie packed, and macro friendly to help you achieve all of your goals. And the best part- it’s basically foolproof and ridiculously easy to make. Of course, it’s also full of protein and macro friendly. I just know it’s going to become your new favorite meal.

Notes

LAZY VERSION

  • Use pre chopped veggies

SUBSTITUTIONS

  • Sub for zucchini and carrots: any veggie would work! This is a great recipe to clean out any leftover veggies in your fridge. Just chop them small.

  • Sub for ground beef: ground turkey, Italian sausage

  • Sub for cottage cheese: omit, or use ricotta

STORAGE

  • Allow to come to room temp and then store in airtight containers in the fridge. I like using these containers.

  • You can freeze this ziti! You can freeze it right in the glass container.

REHEATING

  • Reheat for 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through.

REDUCE FOOD WASTE

  • If you have leftover pasta sauce, you can freeze it! I freeze mine in ice cube trays so it’s in the perfect serving size to defrost for when my kids want pasta.
