Notes

  • For veggies- you can clean out the fridge with any veggies you have! Carrots, celery, onion, mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, squash, and spinach are all great options.

  • This bolognese sauce freezes well! I like to make a double batch of the sauce. Just put leftovers in a plastic Ziploc bag or in Souper cubes to freeze.

  • Kid friendly: run the veggies through a food processor so they kind of disappear into the sauce.

  • I used Muir Glen brand Marinara.
