Honey Ginger Chicken

This Honey Ginger Chicken tastes just like Chinese takeout but way lighter, gluten free and high protein. The sweet, sticky sauce is so yummy and flavorful and comes together so easily. Make sure to check out the “lazy version” in the notes, which makes this recipe ridiculously quick and easy.

Notes

LAZY VERISION

  • Use microwave rice packets instead of making your own

  • Use a steam-able bag of frozen broccoli

  • Omit the green onion

SUBSTITUTIONS

  • Sub for green onion: any onion, about 1/4 cup chopped, or omit

  • Sub for chicken thighs: chicken breasts, just pound to even thickness first

  • Sub for coconut aminos: low sodium soy sauce, omit the salt

  • You can serve with any veggies in you want!

STORAGE

  • Allow everything to come to room temp and then store in airtight containers in the fridge. I like using these containers.

REHEATING

  • Add about 1 tsp of water to the rice. Reheat for 1-2 minutes, stirring halfway through.
